But the truth is being a photographer is much more than taking a good photograph. Or more accurately, taking a great photograph is about many things.
I’m a people photographer and shooting people is a personal thing. Its a connection and a trust. People tell me I’m wonderful at putting them at ease.
So I’ll tell you 11 little things about me.
1. I have to work harder to take serious photos than laughing photos.
2. I get the Sunday New York Times and read it all week.
3. Peeking in at my sleeping children is always a treasured moment in my day.
4. My first photography job was for the Michigan News and it paid $7 per photo.
5. I like to put extreme amounts of wasabi on my sushi
6. I taught english in Japan and left 2 weeks before my apartment collapsed in the Kobe earthquake.
7. I ride a Ducati ST4 motorcycle. Although far less often than I’d like. See my book: ChicksOnBikes.US
